Unseen Wildlife

I often see the evidence of wildlife which have passed through. I always feel a little bit embarrassed, as if I was late to some special occasion. Those elk tracks are from yesterday and I’m a day late. That bobcat was on a hunt last night, but I was sleeping. If only I’d walked through here earlier, I would have seen the Great Blue Heron who left his tracks in the mud.

Sometimes the tracks tell a story. I don’t know what this coyote stopped to paw out of the thin layer of snow on this iced over pond, but is  clear for all to see he was trotting across the ice, stopped for a moment, then went on his way.

Unfortunately I haven’t done a very good job at keeping it up to date. I know what you mean. People seem to have a strong reaction to Wyoming: They either love it or hate it. I’m in the “love it” category, and it sounds like you are, too.
