UW Hydroponic Greenhouse

University of Wyoming Grad student, Nate Storey, has designed and developed a hydroponic tower system for this greenhouse where fish, herbs, and vegetables are grown.  The water circulates from fish tanks through media filled ‘towers’ made of PVC or poly pipe. The water has not been changed for years. “The biology just works,” says Storey.

Simple.  Ingenious.

  1. Great Post! My son has been interested in this for some time. Living in Jackson is always a challenge for fresh greens. The town of Jackson is in the process of putting together a vertical greenhouse and the local markets have already agreed to purchase their production. The land I think has been dedicated and hopefully we will see this built very soon. Thanks again.
